My wife is the keyboardist.

She does not sequence, if she can't play it live without sequencing - then she doesn't record it. Puritan? Maybe, but I respect her for her conviction.

Also, she doesn't sample. We haven't the need.

So, taking away the sequencer/sampler bells & whistles....

What is the opinion of the LE series? The only downside I can see as of yet is the absence of the Touchview screen.

The keys on the Triton are a bit flimsy and cheap and the action suffers a little because of that.

Otherwise, it has the Triton sound without the expansion cababilities and the higher price tag of the other Tritons.

Considering that the sounds on a Triton are all sample based won't there be an ethical conflict? ;)

well short of hiring a string/brass section and buying a baby grand, that's compromise we'll have to make...good one Tex lol! :D

I agree on the keys. It's not a weighted action, but her Roland synth isn't either. The upside is that it's pretty much the same action as used in the M series which is very easy to service.
