Hi, I hope this post is in the right spot. Even though I am using TouchOSC it is sent as Midi data to my PC lol.
In the past I have used Ableton live for all my sequence triggering needs. I trigger it via an Ipad or Droid(my cell phone) using touch OSC and pure data. Basically it is sent as a midi command to ableton when I hit the button. The advantage to using ableton is that I can send a stereo sequence as well as a click track for the drummer.
Soo... my question is this... I have a new project that just requires me to hit 6 different little sound effects throughout different times in a song. I can make 6 big buttons on an ipad and trigger it on the PC with ableton. However, for something this small I would prefer to use something that is ALOT smaller.
What would you recommend to simply trigger some wav files with midi commands? I know there are samplers out there that can probably do it, but I need something that is stand alone without all the bells and whistles most samplers have. Smaller the better, it just needs to have the ability to alternate between 6 different wav files with the push of a button.
Thanks!
