Trident 4T Channel Strip Anyone?...

...just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Trident's new channel strip (4T)...I've read some pretty impressive reviews, but practical feedback would be valuable...
 
I was using the search funtion for the same thing and found your thread so I guess this is a bump.
 
Well Malcolm Toft WAS Trident and he's not working for them any more so......

I have no idea. :D

Just bought one

I bought one today after my sales person at GC recommended it for vocals. Recorded a few vocals tracks using Rode NTK and SP C1 through it and I can really hear a difference in vocal presence over my Aphex 207 and Focusrite VoiceMaster Pro. Well, the Focusrite is going back for sure. I will be using this pre for the next week or so but I feel that this will be a keeper.
 
just sos yous guys knows this is a trident pre in name only 'cause some half-assed engineer acquired the name. It bears no resemblence to real tridents. Hell not even all trident consoles are good, there's only a few I really like. I've never actually used one (the GC trident) but then again I know better.

Toft was a big part of Trident but it was actually John Oram Who "WAS" trident. If I'm not mistaken, which I could be.
Oram designed the "british eq". Those old Trident boards sound great because of Orams electrical engineering designs. Also if I'm not mistaken I think that this pre which we're talking about is named Trident but actually under Orams supervision. If anyone has a chance read up on Oram do it, he designed the eq's for some of the old Vox amps too. Like the ones the Beatles used. He's a very interesting guy. Nice guy too
