Transfering files (Abbleton Live)

I am having trouble sending Abbleton's Live files to a friend, when he gets them he can't open them in his Abbleton Live program. A message appears in all the tracks " SAMPLE OFFLINE ". Can somebody help? Please?

I'm not sure I have ever heard of the program you mentioned, but are you trying to send Abbleton project files or are you just trying to send Audio data

If you are trying to send just the project file, your friend might be getting that error message because the program cannot find the audio files that are part of the project.

I just re-read your post and I understand what your saying... you defintly need to send him the audio files for the project as well as the project file. Again, I don't know the program, but once he has the audio files most programs allow you to direct the program to the corresponding audio files. Good Luck

I haven't used Ableton much, but I'm guesing that, as with a lot of audio software, each entire project -audio files, project files etc- should be in it's own folder, to make it easier to move around. But then I guess it depends how you set it up.

I sent both files, including the file with "name sounds" I hope it works.

on live 7, use the collect all & save option. that way it self-contains the project so that when your friend gets it, there are all the samples and everything else.
