I'm using the "one click" method on my 16/4, sending the signals to my PC. According to the Yamaha manual the insert is placed betwen the EQ and the fader. Which I take as meaning that the onboard EQ knobs effect my input signal as it leaves the insert jack. If this is the case, for the most accurate representation of my source, what should I be setting the EQ knobs at during tracking? Suggestions?

Thanks

Yeah, you have it right. If you use the insert on the yamaha mg's, the signal you are sending is already EQed. To get the most accurate representation into your computer and you are multitracking on your computer, leave the EQ flat. There's no need to alter the signal with a crappy 3-band EQ if you can use a better plug-in on your recording software.
