I have a question for you regarding the Alesis HD24. How difficult is it to move data to a computer (for editing in Cubase SX) and back to the Alesis. The HD24 is not as expensive as I thought they might be. I'm considering taking the plunge and investing in this system and a good analgue mixing board. Sooo...if I wanted to record in the Alesis and move the tracks into Cubase and back into the Alesis after editing for the final mix through a mixer...are there any issues with keeping the tracks sync'd up? How do you accomplish this? Does it work well for you? Do you have to do this one track at a time? Using the Roland VS880EX, I've tried moving audio from system to system before and I alway seem to get "something" slightly out of sync and it never sounds like it did in the orignal mulitracker....even using a sound wave generated on all tracks as a visual reference.
Maybe explaining your process in a detailed way of how you accomplish the tracktransfer would be good.
Thanks,
Simmons
