Trace Acoustic Amp to 424MKII, yes/no?

I'm new to recording and don't want to hurt my 424. Does anyone know if I can go through my amp (for the effects) into the 424 via the "line in/out" jack on the back of my amp, without hurting the 424. The Trace manual lists this D.I. output as balanced, 800 ohms signal level nominally 500mV.
I'm not an electronic wizard, and I would appreciate any help.

You should be OK to hook it up, But when in doubt use a mic. It's a lot safer for you and the equipment.
