Why is everybody so hard on Behringer stuff? Do their products suck balls on a whole, or do a lot of people look at "inexpensive" products as being "low-quality" products?

Well, there certainly are gear snobs around, but in general there are few of their products, once you look around, that there isn't something better even in the price range. For example Behringer B1 - $99. Studio Projects B1 - $99.

The only Behringer products that are the best in their price point are the DI100s, possibly the V-Amps and that digital mixer of theirs (which is the ONLY one at that price point!). There are no reasons to buy their mics or mixers (particularly the small ones) when you see what else is available.

I have both the V-Amp Pro and the Bass V-Amp Pro and I love them both. I've found the Composer to be a decent compressor for the price. I also have a Multigate that doesn't work quite like I'd like it to.

EDIT: Gee, I just noticed that someone gave me negative rep for this thread. Yeesh, there's no pleasing some people, LOL!

What the hell did you get a negative rep on? :)

I always give him good rep ... hope I didn't click the wrong button!

That's the thing - unless the rep giver posts a comment, there's no way to know. All I know was that it was generated from this thread. But yeah, I can't imagine what I said on this thread that would piss someone off. It doesn't really bother me.

And thanks, noisedude. But does this mean I can't start that "noisedude is a total jammy git" thread now? :D j/k

Me no get da joke!

'Cause it wasn't a very funny one, I guess. I was tired when I posted it.
