i know what you want to hear, but i'm afraid i went to the dark side...

sm7b all the way :P

HA! Now did you do this work at your home set up or what? ..... Next time we know what to use. :laughings:

Did you audition other microphones? Or did the 7b just seem to work from the get go?

yeah, i did it at home.
the college have some nice gear, but it's risky business with so many people wanting to book it. i'd rather rely on what i have.

i tried the re20 first and a rode nt1a but i didn't like them (especially on the guy doin the character voices) he was kinda hard to work with.

I'm going to have to start quoting you :p

How many character was he doing in the book?

haha,,sorry moresound, i modded my post, then you quoted the original, so i changed it back (didn't wanna make u look silly :P)

it was one voice 'actor' for all the characters, and another for narrative.

Sometimes the voice over artist is hard to look at when they are doing all of those characters for they really get into the character and start hopping around or making silly faces and you can't help to LOL right there in front of them during the recording --Has happened to me a few times.

you're not wrong!! that was a learning curve for me.

i took this project on because it was unfamiliar territory. i'm glad i did now :)

This has the possibility for a sound tract to a children's video?
