Hustle Magic!! We Got It.
Ok..I have noticed alot of folk tag their music throughout the whole song..I know why they seam to think it protect them from theives..but truth told its annoying as hell..

on the real i see no problem in it..but if someone is goin to steal your music trust me, they can easily re-record it with any problems..

so do you like listening to tagged music or its does bother you to listen to tagged music..

I thinkin of a tag for my beats..just in the begining for future post..If you ever notice any beat david banner produced he has his tag on it in the begining..and i like that..it lets everyone knows who make the beat...now i just gotta come up with a good one for mines...LOL

I can listen to music with tags, but I know how annoying the shit can be....especially when most of the tagged shit from different peeps sound so alike you can't tell who made the shit. I would put a tag in the beginning of a track only if the artist gave me permission to (since they're paying for the beats). Most of them wouldn't mind giving you props in the song for it to help you out, especially if you cut them a deal the next time they buy beats from you (hmm I might need to add that info into the site).

But because so many people find it annoying, I decided to only do snippet. I know if the right person knows what they're doing it can be stolen, but if they want it bad enough, they'll find a way to take it. That's why I'm steady on the SR copyright route to protect my ass. I make my beats in volumes and then ship the CD's off to the gub'ment. I think now I can make a bunch of mp3's and submit it that way though.

so true..if you got your work on file at LOC then you dont have to worry about folks jackin or stealing..always protect your work..this one artist ask me listen to a track he made and i couldnt cause he had the tag goin throughout the song..and he got mad at me cause i didnt tell him what i thought about it and when i told him all the blah, blah blah is annoying,,thats why i didnt listen to it

i suggested for him to do 1-2 tags on the beat or maybe freestyle over it..dont know whatever happend..

yeah

Most of it was done recently, so until I get it finalized the full lengths won't go on....and then even after that I may put a vocal tag at the beginning like Stray does.

stray's tag is hot. his shit just seems to blend in with his songs as if it was a sample, i guess a good tag blends and also has some type of creative style, not just a monotone voice.

You Also Have The Option Of Laying An Accapela On As A Tag Only Problem With That Is Then People See That Artist On You Track And Try To Mimic It Or Dont Feel It Cuz They Dont Like The Artist. I Know A Guy Who Did His Whole Album Off Beats He Jacked And Listed His Self As The Producer. And He Gets Paid On It. Now He Sells To His Artist Like He Made The Beats So In A Sense Tags Are Good But Yea Some Are Crap.

i really dont see them being good...due to the fact that if thet really want the track they will take it anyway..i see it like this..people will still before they try and buy something..or you got the musical genius who can listen to it and tell you ever damn instrument you use..then re-recreate it and push it off as his..tag are good if you doin free beats..i can see that ..but at least make it blend well with the track..i try and listen to all kinds of people sites..but i stop real quick if i hear a sloppy tag on a song that is destroyed by it..

keepem coming

i feel you on that one.

i dont remember who it was but i was on somebody from this forums site and all his instrumentals had a sample that said "thou shalt not steal" over top of it and some of them had flows threatening thieves and other shit. i thought that was hot. if i was worried about mine thats probably the route i would take just find some type of sample like that and then do some drunk freestyles (which are dime a dozen in my booth) over maybe one verse or something but i think you gotta let the beat ride at least half the song so you can get a feel for the beat and just vibe it. but as for right now im not even worried about. the way i see it is if somebody steals my beats and makes money off them then that means my beats are good enough to make money which is good news to me!

so's i dont have to steal it . . . yo pcp -- throw me a beat i can spit on -- i will give u all hte credit on the cd cover n wlhat not!!!! lol -- im serious though lol

LOL I think the worst tag is ones that use the computer speech programs. I think the best ones are enough to keep people from stealin' the beat but enough to hear the beat clear.

Never got a compliment on my tag before...thanks fellas. It's a loop BTW, that's why it sounds like it fits with all the tracks...it's adjusted to fit their BPM.
