Looking for big-picture mix feedback on this track please. Hoping to get some different opinions from different playback systems. Relative levels, overall EQ, specific instrument/performance EQ. Thanks in advance. :-)

I changed the privacy setting of the above link and it killed it. So had to put this one because I can't edit or delete posts after a certain period.

Hey PH
So the song is a lot of fun. The back up vocals sound great. The way the solo builds into a nice energetic blues solo is real nice. Sounds balance and nice to listen to on a set of quad core iem’s. I think my only nit would be that the drums sound like they’re behind a screen or in a box. Mostly noticeable at the very beginning.
Nice one. Cheers

That’s a foot tapper. Catchy and bouncy.
I can see it being a family favorite for get togethers. Just pull out an acoustic and get everyone singing along.

As to mix…… sounded fine on iPhone

Thanks for the comments.

This track is exactly that - created for fun - and for my family. Tracked entirely by myself over the last 2-3 weeks as timed allowed - it's mostly a bit, a gag, a goof. The intent is to have my daughter in law redo the lead voc's - as I am clearly not a singer. I have a sample of my cat all ready to go on there at the end- just forgot to add it in with this first mix pass.

A cowboy country song about my cat. I aspire for great things.

But yeah - I pushed to get it done before the family reunion in AR this weekend.

More mix comments welcome 🙏

I pulled it back down to make a couple of tweaks. I had to leave town and travel for a little while- I'll make those changes and put it back up once I get back home. :thumbs up:
