tips or tutorials on mixing and editing hip hop vocals onto track?

i record hip hop vocals onto instrumental tracks does anyone have any tips or tutorials they have ran across, right now I am simply playin with the eq plug INS on pro tools after I record adding a little reverb and maybe some compression.
