Timestamp?

Is there a way to timstamp the wavs in CEP so I can then open them in another program or on a standalone?

You can view the timestamp of a single track by going into the track properties.

Right click ont he wav, and it's in there somewhere..lol.. I'm at work, so I can't do it to tell you but, I've done it before.

In 2.1, if you right click on a track, two options are 'Loop Properties' and 'Wave Block Properties'. Neither of which seem to have anything obvious to do with a timestamp. What's a timestamp? lol

correct me if im wrong but isnt a timestamp used so you can open up a group of wavs into a different application and have them line up correctly? If not that my main question is of no use lol.

Yes, the timestamp of a waveform tells you when the block starts in a session.

Say for instance, the second chorus begins at 1:32.073... when importing files from one prog to another without the benefit of using a session file, you can use the timestamp to guarantee proper placement of your waveforms.

It's only useful if you're sending your sessions out to be mixed by someone else, I suppose.

Couldn't you mix down the chunks to a new track, which starts at 0:00?

Yes, yes you could.

Sorry, I didn't make it into the studio last night... My wife is 9 months prego, and she required my attention most of the evening... I'll try it tonight.
