this is a friends song

he played everything and i helped track and mix, its far from complete he just put it down to get an idea of where the song was going and what improvements can be made to the arrangement


can i get some feedback as to what improvements can be made to the mix

It's not my kind of tune but it's pretty cool though. I'd get the kick up a hair. The vocals trail off a number of times and get hard to understand. Could be sung with a bit more conviction, if ya know what I mean.

ya its a very rough first take and needs to be extended a bit aswell as for the vocal i know what your sayin, he only had a couple of lines written and the song has a certain theme so he did'nt want to just put down/sing any lyric so the parts you hear trailing off he is basically mumbling something along to have some sort of vox there rather than empty space, as i said this is an early take and will be nailed with a lot more convection when he gets the arrangement of the music amd melody down 100%...

Interesting song. The vocals bass and drums seem to sit okay together, so maybe bring the guitars down some back into the mix.
