time stretch

I have a drum loop at the end of my song that I want to gradually become slower and for the pitch to gradually become lower. How do I do this in Cubase SX (version 2.something)

To slow it down why not just change the tempo in those bars?

i don't think simply changing the tempo will change the speed and pitch of a sample

Process -> Pitch Shift -> Envelope -> Uncheck time correction.
Make sure you dial in the semitones (how many pitches it is able to go down).
