Isn't that a bit............ big? Will it take over my computer?

Nope. I don't know why it's that big - but it should be good. Have you bought a bundle?
Have faith and click "install" :D

If you had a MacII with a 1G hard drive, yes, it'd be a bit big and might take over.
Chances are, you have about 4Gig of RAM all by itself and probably the better part of a Terrabyte HD.
So 160M is dinky.

It may have changed but they used to have a one-size-fits-all installer.
You ticked the boxes for what you wanted to install, but all plugs were included/available.

The Waves installer in question is a full management package, for licensing and downloading. It doesn't include the actual plugin dll files which are downloaded once you install and run this main application. I have a bunch of Waves products and altogether I'm at roughly 700MB total between vst and application folder data. It's comparable to other similarly robust packages I have.
