Thread about Plugins?

Hey,

I'm looking into plugins for mainly Bass, Orchestra, Pods, Strings & Drums but can't seem to find any threads on that subject.

Can someone point me in the right direction for that or give me a few tips on some good plugins for these instruments specifically?

Would be very much appreciated!

I want them to sound GOOD, doesn't have to be CD-Good - but good enough for doing music for commercials & short-films.

Wow! Well, that is a big chunk of question that involves thousands of opinions, as well as a whole bunch of different genres that would give totally different ideals as to what is good.

Explain a bit more as to what it is you wish to achieve, and you will have better results with software suggestions.

Haha, I didn't realize how right you were before I read your reply...

What I wish to find plugins for is basically Rock/Pop when it comes to Bass & Drums (not too heavy Drums like EZDrummer etc)

What's your opinion on Trilogy as a Bass plugin?

Orchestra wise I'd like it to be... Well, the whole Orchestra for ballads and for creating Movie themes.

Pads (I wrote it wrong before) & Strings go the same way as Orchestra I guess, it's mostly for making themes for Movies

The basic genre is Rock and I wish to find as good & real sounding plugins as possible

You haven't mentioned a budget, and I didn't quite understand your reference to EZ Drummer - you think EZD is too 'heavy'? What do you mean by this?

I can't afford them, but there are lots of Orchestra VSTi's like these - note some of the listings are jsut sample libraries, not the actual VSTi.

Well,
To be honest the budget is less of an issue for me, not because I have money but because I'm willing to spend on the better sounding stuff. Ofcourse maybe the most expensive one you listed in that link ($795) would not be an option for me either.
What I mean about EZDrummer is that it's well fitted for maybe more heavy music, Hard Rock & Metal but if I wanna do soft ballads or just wish to have softer drums I can't get that out of them without having another Drum plugin to EQ them in a good way...
