This shows how much the adda and preamp affect the sound of a mix and mic.

I was tempted not to tell you which mic, but the guy used a rode NT1. Thats right. unbelieveable given the sound he got.

he is on the digi001 platform but did not use its converters or preamp

actually, listen to any song, but falling is the best sound to me.
 
sounds nice from what i can tell... of course the mp3 encoding is not very good so its hard to accurately hear whats going on there. still, i was surprised to say the least.
 
the rode nt1 is a very good mic in the right circumstance as this illustrates.
 
many pros think that the choice of pre is as important as the choice of mic or even more important. THis proves it.

Also, it comes as no surprise that the guy is using an outboard reverb, the tc m-one in this case.
