this mixer and my digi002 ...cable hookups??

which outputs do you want to use on the Peavey

most likely you'll just be going 1/4" TRS to 1/4" TRS on the 002. Then set the 002 to line input (if you're using 1-4)
 
there is like outputs on each channel on peavey there pre fader and eq but i just want preamps anyway. Its a send or whatever on each channel.

Now do trs come in balanced and unbalanced??

And I'm actually gonna use 1-4 on digi002 preamps to record so I'm actually gonna be using peavey through 4-8 inputs on digi002.

Hope that explains a bit better I'm still lost on balanced and unbalanced and i think the digi 002 are balanced but manual said something that you can use unbalanced still and i have no idea what peavey is on those sends.

cables don't come in "balanced" or "unbalanced". They're categorized by the number of conductors they have and the connections. TRS means it's a two conductor cable. You want one of those sized in 1/4"
The GEAR itself is what determines if its sending a balanced connection or not. The cable doesn't care what kind of signal it is...but your gear does. You should be fine with TRS cables. They will be able to carry a balanced signal down it if needed.
 
whats the big balanced and unbalanced thing then??

Always seems to be a fuss about it.... If one peice is balanced and one is not do i have a problem??
 
balancing is a cool, electronic trick to help avoid electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (which usually turns up as noise in your signal) that may show up when you're running long cables.
Unbalanced cables are fine when running short distances, but they may be prone to picking up interference. Microphones, for the most part, are balanced connections. You just need to read the specs of the gear you are using to see what it says. If it says "balanced," use a two conductor cable (XLR or TRS usually). Your goal is just to make sure the signal remains balanced when transferring between components.

Sometimes, however, you physically can't avoid it and the signal will have to go from balanced to unbalanced. Not a big deal, but you may lose a bit of volume in your signal (about 3dB). The cool electronic balancing trick just doesn't happen on the other end of the cable, but the signal will continue on just fine and you probably won't notice anything different.

Just get a few TRS cables and you'll be fine.
