This mix sounds kinda dry...but maybe it's just me. Fresh ears?

I'm thinking once I record the vocals it will liven things up a bit more...especially in the intro. I want to see what everyone else thinks.

Link here.

I'm trying to experiment more with drum sounds and things, but I'm a little limited as I'm using EZ Drummer. The kick seems to be a little clicky, but I'll address that when I go back and add vocals. The bass is also a VST just fyi.

i would say that just the guitars sound a little shrill maybe find a different eq setting for them that carves out a space away from the cymbals a little more. otherwise it sounds great! :)

Ok so you think they're sitting in too tight with the cymbals frequency wise? It could be due to my use of an exciter on the main bus to push the highs out a bit more. My mixes tend to sound a little dark on their own.

Thanks for listening BTW.

Something that jumps out at me is the hard panning. Too many things seem to be going all the way left and right. It is coming off as too much seperation. You have good tones to work with but it feels like they're spread out too much. The drums sound kinda dry maybe throw a reverb on all of the drums and sit if they with the guitars better. I think the bass could have more of the low end possibly. More balls on the guitars too I think. You have room to fill in here so dont be bashful. Cool arrangement. Long! You've got some nice chops on that guitar. Keep it up.:)
