Funny you should post that Travis...I just put one of those in my recording chamber....seriously. :) I have red and yellow gels on the spots.

Gorty,
Studio looks fabulous, man! I dig the Auralex design, absolutely love the traps, and really dig the wood on the bottom of the walls. Great job on the color, too. Color doesn't affect the sound, but I'm a strong believer that it affects the tracking and mixing mood, arguably the two most important elements of the process.
Rock on, man! :) :) :) :) :)

Thanx Seeker!
I'm about to embark on my broadband absorber for the back wall of my studio! I am pleased how my studio is turning out so far, the room has a very relaxed, warm feel to it! :)

Here's a shot showing the stainless steel bracket on the bottom of my bass trap!
You can see my Les Pauls as well! :) :D ;)

I re-fitted my Auralex sound treatments using the Tube-Tak from Auralex last night! However in doing so I fitted the DST-244 (which is the burgundy Auralex in the centre) up the other way from how I did it originally. I only noticed today! However there isn't too much I can do about it now! It looks alright though, there is no particular way it really has to go anyway! :)

You can see in this shot below how I had the DST-244 originally. You can also see the gaps in between the Auralex when it was fitted using the double sided tape. The Tube-Tak hopefully will be more steadfast and keep the treatments in place without too much moving due to temperature change and moisture in the air!

I bought some Auralex Mopads as well the other day. These provide sonic isolation for your studio monitors from the stands or desk or whatever they happen to be sitting on. They help in taming the vibrations coming from your monitors.
My studio monitors are not as large as in width compared to some monitors (I have the Roland DS-5'S, which are a Bi-amp 55 watt active monitor) so the Mo-Pads look a little large for the job but they do help!

WOW  Looks comfortable, cozy, stellar, trippy, and professional.
Dumb question, how do you record/edit? (cant see a comp, or is it just not setup yet?)

Mike

Mike

My computer (I take it that's what you are talking about) is just out of shot of my main desk. However my main recording is recorded/edited using a DAW. I have the BOSS 1600CDR. As far as the DAW's go the BOSS unit is very versatile. I am looking for some software that I can wave edit etc.
