What will you have left to do to your room, after you use the adhesive r00?

I have to make a broadband absorber for the back wall and for my first reflections on the side walls. :)

I have ordered some Tube Tak Pro from Auralex, it is their guaranteed adhesive that won't eat away the Auralex treatments.

ahhh...nice, I styill ahven't ever messed with auralex but it looks cool ;)

i just used some 3M spray adhesive for my foam. works great so far. gotta see if the summer heat will affect it though.

This Tube-Tak Pro is permanent, it is supposed to hold through all temperature and humidity changes. The music store where I ordered the Auralex products through have used it in their Monitor listening display rooms and it is very steadfast once applied to the corners etc with a caulking gun.

My Tubetak was delivered here yesterday but no one was here to sign for it so I have to wait to Tuesday now! :(

My package arrived today from Auralex. I have some adhesives and some Mopdas for my Studio Monitors! :)

i used a few different adhesives...the 3m stuff doesn't even work sometimes.

for the lighter things it has...but my bass traps fall with changing temp.

what i then tried was getting a long thing of sticky velcro. now the stick sticks to the wall well, not the foam. i then got some pins and stuck them in at angles that would keep the velcro in the foam.

don't even have to worry about temperature anymore

I'm assured the Tube-Tak is the adhesive for the Auralex products. We will find out! :)

The spray-on adhesive sold under the Auralex name works great and is much faster/easier to work with than Tube-Tak.

http://www.auralex.com/acoustic_adhesive_foamtak/acoustic_adhesive_foamtak.asp

Website says one can will do 96 sq. ft. and I can believe that.

Although it sells at GC for $19.99, my guy sells it to me for $10 a can. One can goes a pretty long way. You don'[t need to cover the entire piece of foam with, Just spray a nice circle (about 6" dia.) on the back of the foam and the same on the mounting surface, let sit for about 30 seconds, press it on.

I've got Auralex which has been hanging about 4 years with this adhesive and never had one piece let go.

Try one can and you'll throw that Tube-Tak in the trash.

As a side note on rigid fiberglass ala 703, the best/easiest thing I've found for cutting it is a $9.99 electric carving knife from Walmart. Cuts all the way through (one pass) like butter.

Just my 2¢...

It's hard work and very expensive to get the Foamtak here because of the no air freight, so it has to be shipped which takes an eternity to get Downunder!
