but, I just got my behringer UB2222FX mixer today, and am learning how to work it and stuff.

my question is, when I plug everything in, and turn the power on the effects display doesent turn on.

does anyone know whats wrong with my mixer? or is there a special combination of knobs to turn to make it turn on

well

well,I got it for about 50 dollars, so I thought I would get it because it was really cheap. but is there anyone that can help me at all?

Well if you can return it for an exchange or a refund you better do it now....

If it doesn"t light up when you turn on a the Mixer then it is Busted and no one here can help you fix it over the net....

Does it work without the effects??

could someone actually post something helping me, instead of telling me their opinions on the mixer I own?

See Minion's post above. Seems pretty helpful to me.

Just to echo the previous post: Did you buy it used? Is it only the FX section, or is the whole board non-functional? Can you return it? If so, you probably should.

I think that peoples' opinions are that it is malfunctioning and needs to be repaired/replaced/junked.

You should open it up and see if there is a "Fix Me' button on the circuit board. Most Behringer products come with this ( and a "Sound Better" knob on the newer stuff )
If you can locate this button - it should work just fine after this.
f not - then I recomend trying to sell it. People pay HIGH dollar for broken Behringer stuff.

behringer onboard effects are crappy anyways...
I agree. I've never been happy with onboard effects on anything let alone a cheap behringer mixer. Its probally not worth the money trying to fix it.

man, i don't know what these guy's are saying, I've had no problems with my bheringer product. but i do agree with them that you should return it. (i myself would try tampering with the circuitry if it was only $50 ) but since i have no idea what your electrical skills are and don't know what it could be, i can't say anything. maby it's just the display, try running effects by ear. but seriusly, evrybody gives such a bad judgement to behringer. it gets the job done at a good price. whats wrong with that?

It gets the job done but thats not allways the best way to do things. If its quality you want behringer is generally not the way to go, not that they dont work.

Fact is buying Behringer gear is a gamble, sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it doesn't work at all. Trash it. $50, lesson learned. Save your money and buy something decent.

Yeah, Beri gear is notorious here. I've used a UB802 mixer for a year in my "studio B" and have never had a problem with it. I've even done a couple mixdowns through it on tunes I've posted in the mp3 clinic. It's not bad as a mini monitoring mixer.

Mine doesn't have effects, but if your manual doesn't say anything about a switch that turns them on that you haven't found yet you've just got to return it. I'd get one without effects if it were me. Use software plugins.

is it possible that just the led is busted, but the effects still work? i'm not familiar with that particular board, but if you turn up the effects sends/returns (or whatever controls the effects wet/dry on each track) on the tracks and the master sends/returns (or whatever effects the main or buss effects wet/dry), do you hear any effects (reverb, chorus, delay, whatever)?
have you tried asking the store or person you got this from if there are any issues with it? $50, even for a behringer mixer, seems to hint that there are some issues with it.
