I recently saw War of the Worlds. Awesome movie, and if you've seen it, you know what I mean when I mention the sound that the tripods make right be fore they attack. Kind of like an activation noise, andyway it's spine tingeling. I figured out how they made the sound though. And I hooked up a small setup in my truck and slowly pulled off to the emergency lane on the interstate and VIOLA!! It's noisy and I hope you can hear it. But you'll know what it is. Just thought I'd share my excitement.
