...I know that because it has words and music. :p

I'd like to know how this sounds. I'm going to change some of the lyrics and re-do vocals, it's far from finished...Too many "Down"'s all over it among other things that bother me. These are just what I heard in my head when I wrote it.
Anyway, I hope the kik isn't too loud.
Opinions and critiques please...thanx.

Hey man...the bass intro is cool....Nice guitar tone. Vocals seem a bit quiet when they come. A bit hard to make all of them out. Kick is not too loud. Drums sound very good actually. Bass is a little loud. That might be what is hiding the vox. Cool tune Rami. No real nits from me...just a few volume level issues, but that's easy to fix when you move further along. Solo is cool. I like that you used some of the lower notes in it.

Nice flow to the tune. It is very linear....just moves from beginning to end. Nice tune.

Tight jamming Rami. I dig the tune and song writing here.
To my ears the bass sticks out, maybe try EQing the high end some or just lower it in the mix some to keep the funky high end sounds... the bass does sound a bit muffled too IMO
At 3:34 when you repeat the chorus again I could hear some jamming lead sounding good there to close out the song.
Anyway, good song, really catchy and good rhythms, enjoyed it :D :D
 
Thanx guys, I'll check out the levels of al you mentioned. First mixes are always based on what you got used to hearing while tracking. I'll let it sit for a day or 2 and read what people have to say about it. Thanx dudes.
 
Another good tune RAMI....
- cool bass intro, very funky.
- great drums, really drive the tune along, kik is good and punchy
- very cool bridge part at 1:20/2:00 with the quicks stops
- very nice lead solo section
- liked the vocal harmony work, they really sound good
- liked the processing on the mix, it's like your signature sound
Overall great work as always.....

RAMI, totally off topic of mixing....the phrase in your title/first post sounds like something I heard some lady say in a tv commercial. You know I'm going to wake up screaming tonight when I realize where it comes from....LOL....good one....

Edit - okay I figured it out. It's a commercial where the lady is telling you to buy a power scooter. She says "I know that because..." and that's the part that was so familiar. Ugly old lady though (lol)...

Thanx for the comments Ido, and for the detail. For what it's worth, I've changed the verse already and will make other changes. But I'll leave this version up and get people's comments on what is now more of a demo of the tune, or at least just a first draft. I appreciate the listens...

cool tune rami and solid playing throughout. the bass level is the only thing i hear wrong. good job man.
 
Hi Rami...I like your new tune. The drums stand out, and I like that. The bass also stands out. I like like that too. You perhaps could bring the guitar up just a tad...even if you take the bass back a tad. You've got some real nice tone going on here and it crys for more spotlight....Of course, there is always the issue of stepping on the vox....perhaps back on bass...forward on guitar...and vox be fine...sounds like a hoe down :D

Just my opinion and my opinion is blurred with ale this evening. :eek:

Nice chicken scratchin guitar after the bass intro.
I like the bass levels - but I'm a bass player so I'm biased. Though it may need some clarity.
What are the RAMIfications of this lyrical prophecy?

RayC, as far as lyrics go, this song is really just phrases that popped into my head. There are no deep meanings in this one. hehe
 
I like the bass & drums alot in this one...locked in a pretty sweet groove....guitar seems a bit thin and distant to my ears,think it would be cool for the guitar to have bit more presence in the mix.I always dig your vocals...nice harmonies and delivery.Cool tune Rami!
