Dogman

Unkle Ticklefingers
Here is one I re-mixed after some of the advice I have found in here. I added a "harmony" vocal to try and fill in some space, and tried to give more room to certain parts. It is pretty odd, but so am I... ;)
I remixed it a few weeks ago, and have been letting it sit. This might be the best I can do...

I am probably done with it, for now. I didn't redo the acoustic portion, and the vocals are a bit odd there. But I can't sing, so.....

I also used Waldo's site...The Real Waldo...

Let me know what you think.

Man the guitar sounds good and heavy. The drums sound pretty cool actually. :) Vocals sound pretty good too, actually. :)

Now, that kicks ass! I like the vocals just like that! Strong guitar parts. The tune shows conviction; I like.
:)

I like how you're using different guitar sounds in different speakers. Big guitar sounds, but I don't like them as much as Dirt #3. Arrangement wise, there are some pretty significant diffferences in feel between some of the parts. That's a difficult thing to arrange, and I think you did a fair job at it. It's kind of a journey. I can't make out the lyrics sometimes - maybe too many effects? ....and I like the devil's reply.

How did you put this song together? Specifically, did you construct the beats and then add instrumentation, or vice-versa? Where did these beats come from? Drum machine or software?

Yo Dogman...you da man!! Ya know I love your sounds.

The intro pauses are great!

Some of the vocals in beginning are a bit off in timing in the first half of song.

At 1:37 the lead is good and I really dig the cymbals. They set a change in the personality of the tune......

And the re-entry of the guitar really has a professional quality to it. This is also where the vocals timing seem to mesh with the rest of it.

Is that the Bass that takes over at about 2:42 right after the mini-mini guitar lick? It sounds really good.

The lead riffs at 3:50 to the end kick ass!!

Ahhhh....Ferretdog reigns!!! :D

Thanks, man. Drums are all from samples. Lyrics, well, were written on the spot, and sung fairly quickly. Took about 20 minutes to write, and sing them. This version is re-done trying to add some depth...another harmony on part of it. This came from you and Incanus. Just trying to make it not so dry. And don't tell anyone.....guitars just "might" be direct......no amps. But I've heard that guitars direct sound terrible, so couldn't be....

Thanks, True. This is one that I screamed, originally, and then with some help, tried to sing. Alot is probably off, but I tried to make this a bit different than what I normally might try. And all the leads, are not me. Someone else did them, but not to this tune, actually. They were just played, and I put them in here. Took some work, but I wanted some real diverse qualities to this tune.
Now, I need to really work on my vocals, but I do have a tune for you to work on..... :D (hint, hint...)

Could you repeat all that please? :D

Oh yeah, I am in the process of getting my gear set back up and adding to it so I can participate in all this fun. Do you know how hard it is to be an unwilling introvert, when one is an extroverted introvert by nature? :D

So the hint excites me!!!

Casey, that was actually the older version of this song. Sorry dude. it's now fixed if you want to relisten. Vocals should be a bit more clear. I tried to hide them a bit previously. :o
