Whats the best RAP MIC??!
Hey guys. If anyone could please help me out I would really appreciate it. I know I do not do much for the forums around here, but the truth is, that is because I do not know enough yet to help. However, after you guys show me the ropes, I hope to help other people. Basically, I just got a new FP10 and I want to record my vocals with an SM7B and my acoustic guitar with a MXL 603S. I am using reaper and honestly, I am unsure how to go about setting up recordings, so I can record simultaneously. In the near future I will be using 6 mics so I need to know how to go about setting this up where I can get vocals on 1 track, guitar on 1 track, and so on. If anyone could help me out, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks guys and take care

I am pretty sure I have to fix something with the routing?

I'm not too sure how Reaper works but I use my FP-10 with Adobe Audition 2. Within the Hardware Setup for Audition, I choose the FP-10 as the input. From there, each of my tracks have the option of which mono input (1-8) I would like to use. I currently use 8 mics at once for my practice sessions (ATM-63he vox, CAD GXL3000 guitar cab, Audix i-5 guitar cab, bass DI, MXL 990 and 991 for drum overheads, i-5 on the snare, and finally my beloved ATM-250 in the kick.

I am not familiar with the fp10, but I did something similar with my 1010 and reaper. I'm not in front of my computer so this is from memory. Go to Preferences>Audio. There is a selector for audio type. By default it is set to wavout, which only allows you to record two channels, L &R. Switch this to ASIO. Now you should be able to select any of your inputs when arming your tracks
