While it's unwise to recommend that anyone sell an old Fender, you may find it worth your while to sell the Super and look into Allen amps. David Allen is taking the old blackface and brownface circuits, adding a couple of modern features, and hand building world class guitar amplifiers. He's at allenamps.com.
I'm not a shill for David Allen...just one of many very happy customers.
Take a look!

Terry

Thanx, I took a look but even the kits are more than I want to spend.

Don't sell the BEST amp on the planet!

Dude, if I had another HD24 I would just give it to you so you wouldn't have to sell the Super.

You’ll hate yourself in the morning.

ill take the super reverb for ......uhh 300........... no seriously please :D

Sell the Super...Get it over with. The 68 didnt have quite the chime the 65's did anyway.(does it feel better yet???)

I've had my HD24 for almost 3 years now. No problems period knockonwood.

The best sounding amp I've heard in a LONG time is the Carr Hammerhead. No verb,No trem.No crap either.Just the best tone .1-12,25 watts...Buy a stinking spring-in-a-box Fender reverb(they sound better anyway) and get a Boss trem pedal(quieter and more control)....you wont regret the sound you'll get and the lack of muscle strain moving all this smaller gear that takes up less space on a stage and sounds 40 times better.
You may like the Rambler a bit more as its more Fender-y than the Hammerhead.6V6's vs.EL84's.Both are extremely great.Seriously.I hear one everytime I play.

My VT22s smoked that super any day of the week. Just to big, to heavy, and to much power.

Man, don't sell that baby. I sold mine about twenty years ago and still regret it. :(

Are you talking about the newer ones? There is a vintage one without rev or trem at a local music store in torrington cn i looked at. 300.00, played nice at lower volume, started harmonics when turned up. I know it can be fixed but for 3 bills from a store I think it should work well.
I wanted to check out the newer ones.
I will get around to checking all amps suggested if possible.
First I will check them on the web for price, new, used, user reviews etc, then try them in a store before I do anything.
For 399.00 on the blues junior I think I can do better. Even at 300.00 used, I should be able to do better.

I have one of the reissues, but mine's about 7 years old. I got it right about when they came out. I have to say it's about the loudest 15 watts I've heard, and it does pretty much what I need for recording. It's also a killer harmonica amp.

I have decided not to sell. I told myself, self, where are you going to find another super reverb for three hundred dollars.

I just breathed the biggest sigh of relief EVER.
