Thinking of dumping my 68 super reverb for a smaller amp.
I need a list of small amps to check out, tubes, 15 watts, preferably with reverb and tremolo
I wouldn't sell the super but I don't have the money to buy the amp without the sale. I am sure I will have money left over for other gear.

Should I sell?
What amp should I get?

Thanx in advance.

I will try and demo all amps suggested.
I will buy used for the right amp at the right price.

I figure I should be able to get a grand for it no problem.

Don't sell it man, think of the blood on the wall where you repeatedly beat your head against it with frustration and regret at being so rash.
Seriously, is there no other way?

oh man, get the vox mini stack.

only about 15 watts and has reverb and tremolo

If you like the Super, but want something smaller, lighter, quieter, try a Deluxe Reverb. I made that change (though I didn't sell my 68 Super) a couple of years back and I have never regretted it. I got a very cherry '65 DR, which wasn't cheap, but I hear that the blackface reissue is virtually the same.

laney LC15 R
all tube el84
Nothing fancy like two channels etc just reverb
Great distortion and a nice crisp clean sound
i love this amp

Fender Blues Jr! The best little amp around...

Reverb = yes
Tremolo = no

That is if you sell..

I would not sell.

That depends on the application. I've got one and I love it for some things, but it doesn't do clean very well.

I tried one last Satruday, not to bad. Local store, had 399.00 on the sticker.
The reverb was not footswitchable. The little fat button would be cool if that was footswitchable also, but it isn't.

While it's unwise to recommend that anyone sell an old Fender, you may find it worth your while to sell the Super and look into Allen amps. David Allen is taking the old blackface and brownface circuits, adding a couple of modern features, and hand building world class guitar amplifiers. He's at allenamps.com.
I'm not a shill for David Allen...just one of many very happy customers.
Take a look!

Yeah sell it!

I sold my '68 super and don't miss it all that much. Bought it new though and it was like dumping an old friend.

Ampeg J12T. Reverb & Tremolo (neither is footswitchable) and sweet sweet tone for days. It's sort of a cross betwwen Fender and Vox. I love mine.

Are you talking about the newer ones? There is a vintage one without rev or trem at a local music store in torrington cn i looked at. 300.00, played nice at lower volume, started harmonics when turned up. I know it can be fixed but for 3 bills from a store I think it should work well.
I wanted to check out the newer ones.
I will get around to checking all amps suggested if possible.
First I will check them on the web for price, new, used, user reviews etc, then try them in a store before I do anything.
For 399.00 on the blues junior I think I can do better. Even at 300.00 used, I should be able to do better.

To all those who don't want me to sell the super, there is another ulterior motive. An HD24. With some money I have saved up, selling my adat, and what is leftover from the sale of the super after buying another amp; I plan on replacing the adat with an HD24. :)
