woooooooooooo wooooawoooaa
spooky.
Where can I find a decent theramin for under $100? Does on exist? Has anyone used the 'black box' style theramin? Is that really what Led Zep used? Are they worth 100 clams? Fry on wave manipulators. Peace.

Yo RATS AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo:

Have to tell you story; years back when I was gigging in Chicago, I happened to be browsing through the Chicago Musicians' Union manual and there were hundreds of horn players, bass players, drummers, etc.

But, ah, yes, BUT, there was but ONE THEREMIN PLAYER, A WOMAN.

I happened to see her one night on the old Marty Faye show on B/W WGN television.

She was awesome waving her hands in the air and making music.

I'm sure if you check around, EM magazine back section, you will find that the ax is available. Don't know much about pricing though.

Say, do you remember the old tv show, RAT Patrol? Great show.

Bob Moog's Big Briar "Etherwave" Theramin looks pretty good at around $280 for the kit, but poor old rats can't really afford that right now. I want to get started on the theramin tracks on our new songs, and I'm considering buying one of the 'Black box' style theramins I've seen on Ebay going for around $100. They look kind of cheap, but I don't really know. Has anyone used one of them? They claim in the description at Ebay that this is the kind that Led Zep used but I doubt that for some reason.
