I'm Unbalanced
My brother and I were bored one day so we decided to try and cover the wickerman by ironmaiden. However we are missing bass lines vocals and the solo in the middle. http://www.soundclick.com/TheCoup . If someone can give it a shot that would be awesome. The mix is rough still there are a few timing issues and my drumming is sloppy but it was all for fun. Let me know if you can help. Thanks a bunch!!
 
firstly I think the guitars are too muffled..there needs to be some high frequency in there...and there may be a timing issue with the second guitar and the drums entering between 08 and 12 secs in, I think...you need to EQ the drums better...kicks gone awol, overall they're too quiet...and maybe high pass some bass out the mix..seems a bit muddy

rocking though...you've got the foundation for something here

please remember Im no expert though, this was just a first impression :)

It would be valuable for you to post your pre-emptive strike so that I don't waste my time mentioning things you read my mind about.
 
Drums sounded Ok to me, guitars lack presence. Timing is pretty bad at times, but you've got the foundations, so I guess you'll be able to nail it when you record it properly.
