Hi
I finally got some damn mp3s on my website, and if anyone wants to listen and comment, that would be nice. If you get some message about the page being shut down, it's because I have a pretty small limit of how much data can be transferred and someone got there before you.
The site is http://www.geocities.com/naamme
Please note that I'm not interested in the commercial prospects of these songs or sounding too polished or anything, more focusing on being interesting. So don't worry about harsh criticisms, I get the feeling that most of the people on this board don't listen to my kinds of music.
Thanks

Well, the site refused to give me any more after I d/l'ed Hibernate and Tree.

I like the lo-fi style that I think you are trying for (and achieving quite nicley, IMHO) - very interesting. Hibernate had a nice touch with that female backing vocal - liked that.

I absolutely loved Tree. I love the idea - the inspiration for the song - brilliant! I wish I could understand the lyrics a little better, but that could be me - I have been sick since Friday and today my head feels like it is under 3 feet of water, so I am not hearing so well. I also like the style of the vocal - very Emo Phillips-esque. Not something you hear everyday.

Really enjoyed what I heard, I would like to listen to more, but geocities won't let me :mad:

Emo Phillips -> !!!
The only association I have with him is his scene in the Weird Al movie UHF - "Well call me Mr. Butterfingers." I'm not sure I understand the comparison, but I'll take it as a compliment.
Thanks for the kind words. Sorry about the stupid web page. I'm thinking about signing up for their pay service so that won't happen as often, but am not sure if it's worth it.
The vocals on Tree were actually recorded through a keyboard. I have an old Yamaha crap keyboard, and I discovered that if you run it through distortion and don't turn it on, it acts as a mic, picks up all sounds in the room. I liked the sound so I rocked it. By the way, if you think of a better name for that song, let me know.

Hibernate rocked. Very nice. Well recorded. I liked it a lot.
