I never post here, but I've used that site on probably 50 songs, lol. If you already know about it and think this is a stupid post, you're probably right, lol.

Peace,
Chris

I just tried "orange"

It could have given me "lozenge" but it didnt -- just said "Sorry, nothing rhymes"

hehehe...you know, I'm in Texas...a state that allows some pretty liberal rhyming in general...you know, words like:

"door" and "battle cruiser" LOL.

...and even HERE, I don't think "orange" and "lozenge" rhyme very well. The "find similar sounding words" option produced some results...none of which I've ever actually heard of before, but such is life. And yeah, I wouldn't try "purple" either.

LMAO…your next assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to write a song using the word “hirple”.

This message will self destruct in 60 seconds.

:D

... I always thought the true secret to great songwriting was at the bottom af a bottle of Jack Daniels... or shoudl I say somewhere near the middle? By the time I hit the bottom I can't find my fingers let alone the frets :P

yes

Yeah, good ol' Roger Miller could rhyme anything...including purple, although even for him that was a stretch:

maple syruple?

Door hinge is the best rhyme for orange I've ever heard. If you say it quick it works really well.

Okay- this may be lame

But I've written a song called "Nothing Rhymes with Orange" for my next Children's record. It's my favorite color, and in a brainstorming session I decided I hadn't any color songs...

and it was born

Interesting post

Keep it up

Not lame.... Could you post it in the mp3 clinic when it's done? I'd like to hear it.

Chris

I imagine I'll post all of em once they're recorded..

I'm still in the writing and sequencing stage- I've decided I'm gonna get the songs written and arranged while I save up for a gear upgrade, then I'll start tracking the live instruments.

Thanks for the interest,
Chris
