Yes later, and I have thought about getting two of these mics on and off for years, but I don’t think they’d earn their keep? They’d look good handheld in videos, and years back a friend kept loaning me two for drum overheads, but what got me was the things show every little scratch. Jamming them into the mic holders scuffs the finish as the square fit rotates them just a bit, when you shove them in, so the edges wear visibly. The satin finish shows little scratches very visibly, and they just need care, I know I cannot give. If you ever see one second hand, the prices are high but examine the pics. They always look old, in the way a 421 doesn’t. They seem to still look good when old. I sort of set a mental price limit for old mics. I want another beyer 201, but my price limit is £150. They are all over 200! For 441’s I’ve set two hundred quid as my absolute limit, and nobody will sell one for that!
