The studio B1

I met a guy latly who bought my spider 2(Finaly, it's good amp, but god damn they can't event make a pod that fits with their own amplifiyer, so I decided the pod was my way to go). Anyway, this is not the point. The guy spoke about a Studio B1 mic and seemed happy for the results in a studio enviroment. For the moment I only have shure SM58, but I am considering the Studio B1 for vocals purpose only. So I'm asking :

- Is it worth buying à studio B1 since im pretty low in budget
- Is it better than the shure SM58 for recording purpose
- What are the advantage and the disvantages of the studio B1
- Is their a better mic for recording purpose in the same price range
