Ok, first person who says this sounds like Evanescence gets a swift punch to the throat.

This was written by 'mbuster,' who posts around here some. My daughter and I just kinda' fell in love with it. Kind of a departure from our usual folksy stuff, and yes, it definitely has an evanescence vibe to it...we had to rewrite part of it to make it fit better for a girl singer.

The chorus is really at the top of her range, but she gave it her best shot.





Let the mocking begin, lol.

Sounds really good, good song good mix. Thought the main vocal was great. i feel her pain man, you rock!

Fat guitar sound, nice job :) Perhaps a tad too midrangy but all in all not bad at all :)

I'll second that. With this genre, you need the bass to roundhouse kick you in the chest. Think mid-scooped. Lotsa highs, lotsa lows, not so much on the mids. That said, it's all really nice and tight. And of course Jaimee's voice didn't exactly hurt anything in it :)

Yeah, I third that, actually...and so does the guy that recorded 99% of the music. I personally like the guitar sounds a lot, but the low end of the mix needs some work. In fact, I've got a real live actual human being working on drum tracks right now, which is going to be a big challenge since the song is so heavily syncopated, but jwoo10 is up to the task.

VERY cool effects on this intro. Guitars are cooking but get right out of the way for the singing (thumbs way up). Phenomenal vocals as always - Kelly Clarkson watch out! Guitars blending nicely with vocals in the chorus. Nice backup vocals...harmony is nice and mixed well. Drums - who is that - gotta be real - very nice drums. You get top marks for the mix on this one from me. Your tunes are getting seriously better and better each time I hear one - very nice!
 
My wife's reaction to this .... "her voice is better than Kelly Clarkson. Amazing drums...(and I'm a guitar person), I would buy this" . Just thought I'd share this with you.....
 
This is very cool... good singing, tight playing, interesting song.

Mixwise, sounds good except for a lack of low end. I'd try to get more bass in there to fill the song out.
