Nope, nothin' yet.
Post the reply man, im curious.

This guy's cracking me up at the moment. In terms of wit and style, he's ragged Cloneboy all over. But a really good mix from the self-proclaimed pro would silence all the doubters!

FIGHT!!!!!

C'mon clonebaby, put up or shut up. That's 11 pages of crap to live up to...let's have it.

what a letdown

Meh, whatever man. Drum machine or not (and it IS a drum machine BTW :) )
It looks like you win cause Cloneboy hasnt posted a reply.
Congrats, i guess.

This is why I love this place. When I use real drums, people comment on my "drum machine." Last time I used a drum machine, you yourself FINSTER told me to "tighten my snare chains." When I use my J-Station I get creds for my killer amp, and when I mic my west avalon amp I get dissed for my shitty DI sound. I love it even more when well respected and talented members like Blue Bear and you FINSTER can't even tell what the hell I did in my mixes. I feel like if you guys can't even tell what I am up to, my recording and mixing skills must be getting better and none of the regular listeners on the other side of their stereos are going to know what the fuck is going on.

True love. R E S P E C T

I'm beginning to think he's right.

The panning continuously switches on the "overheads" every two measures or so. What's with that?

I really don't think these drums are real. I may be wrong, but there's something about it that isn't sounding real.

EDIT: Apparantly, I have also recieved some negative feedback for giving my opinion on the Seifer's mix. Interesting...

They're might be real drum samples, but I'm pretty sure they were done in FL or some other sampler. IMO there's nothing wrong with that.... As long as if this was for the competition both of them used sampled drums.

whether those drums or real or fake.. they don't sound good at all. the kick is way too loud and clickey. and having the cymbal hits panned completely hard like that makes it sound really unproffesional.

also, listen to the performance of the drummer. either they are fake or that is one of the tightest drummers i have ever heard..

i do like the guitar tones though.

also, im confused... was "BubbleGum" Seifer's entry for this competition? or was he just showing something he has done in the past?

I figured it's about time for me to chime in. I don't post a whole lot here, but I read this site everyday and have read & listened to stuff posted here everyday since I found it. Since I am fairly new to the home recording stuff I feel like it is better for me to keep my yap shut and just 'listen, read and learn'.
I have kept close tabs on this thread in particular. I have, because Cloneboy was one of the first people to listen to the first track I posted and his comments helped me immeasureably. I always looked for his comments, and tried to hear what he was hearing based on his comments...Nothing will change that....but I'm beginning to feel a bit let down. After talkin so much shit...for so long on this thread, has he fallen off the face of the earth??? I would think that he would have a bunch of stuff he mixed ready to go. Yet, he has offerd nothing.

I'm beginning to feel like it is a case of: The fat guy writing a book on dieting.

Well, here's on of the last entries from CloneBoy

"The sheer number of people defending Siefer is amazing, considering what an all-around jerk he was, coupled by the fact that he contributed nothing to this site.

After this lame challenge I'm out of here. I'm sick of toying around with all the noobs and jerks, and not getting one iota of respect."

I've been in the music biz for over 25 years and if I've learned 1 thing that is "Never take somebody's word". I've heard too many times, "Oh, I play guitar" or "I'm a singer" and "I'm a professional engineer". Most often, the aren't or they are so bad, they might as well not be. And I hate to say it, but this CloneBoy thing really has me wondering. He has talked alot of smack in the past but the examples he has provided to date really aren't up to snuff. So, in response to this statement from CloneBoy I'd have to respond by saying, respect is earned by proving one's self. You have not.

Well maybe he's just doesn't see much point contributing to this thread anymore?

Maybe he'll just put his mix up and let his work do the talking?

Was there any sort of deadline agreed? I can't see one skimming over the thread.

Earlier in this thread I announced that I was posting my mix on Sunday. Siefer never agreed to a deadline.

I'm avoiding posting to this thread because it serves no purpose and has brought out the worst in a lot of people. Also, I've been busy with the session that is providing the mix.

Aw man, don't be a douche. Cut some throats, kick some ass.

Waiting for the entry. When it's finished we should post a poll thread with the two songs side by side, fresh start.

You called this on, see it through m'man.

I still think Cloneboy danger ahoy is the best burn of all time. :p
..an I NEVER use that stupid smilie!
