This......kicks....ass :)

It's sounding great from here. I agree a B-3 would be a nice addition, not all the way through the song, just in the parts where it could add something. I'd drop it out where the background vocals fill the arrangement up. Even then, I'd go real sparse and "whispery" with it. Just enough to give you the "warm fuzzies" when you hear it.

Cool, cool ending. great stuff all around :)
 
Sounds very cool. I guess I am hearing the second version? :confused: On my cans it could use more bass, its too late to crank the monitors. Well done, nice and tight.
 
I notice some difference in the lower region.

I still stand by my words kickazz tune by two kickazz guys.

Man! Well, its no secret that I'm already a big fan. And this tune doesn't disappoint. Awesome. From the writing to the chords, to the vocals. Great bass line. Lively, tight drums. I always love how you keep the drums relatively dry with just enough room sound.

I did notice that something weird seems to happen at about 1:25. Around the word "circumstance". Sounds like there was a volume increase...or edit or something. It might be my imagination, so if nobody else hears it, never mind.

This is top notch....as usual.

Nah. Dude, Chris Squire is so far beyond me it's not even funny. Preposterous, ridiculous, insane!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for helping out with this.

This recording is a case in point for why we need more than just our two sets of ears to get an idea of where we stand with the mix. It probably would have been a long time before we realized there was something lacking in the low end.

We're coming along though. . .

Oh, now there's going to be trouble. Chris isn't starting until next month and I don't think Incanus got the memo yet.
 
high standard....kind of starts off like squeeze but sort of has a rush kind of thing coming in later ...would of liked more if it stayed on the chirpy intro level throughout...but i did like it a lot.

and yes i know its a mixing clinic but i just cant help commenting on the song itself. :)
