I met my wife after I left the music scene, so when I recently renewed my interests in music, I thought it would be nice to dedicate a song to her. But I've been doing electronica/techno....not very romantic. After my last track, I came up with this one. It's called The Promise and my wife said it sounded like something you might hear at a wedding. I guess she like it.

Performance is great. Tonally there is a high end edge that needs some taming but this was very nice.

I like "Home" as well; good job with the arrangement especially.

Thanks for the feed back.

Middleman, can I help fix the high issues by EQ adjustments? I am a total newbie to recording. I'm tracking on a Korg recorder and then uploading to Soundforge.

Thanks for th feedback people!

Soundforge is supposed to have a very nice Multiband compressor and I would use it here. You can play with some medium compression on the 3-5K range to take the edge off.

I believe it was SF version 5 that had the MB compressor.

The other option is to take a parametric EQ with a 6 db bump and move it in this same range until you find the most obnoxious tone. Narrow your Q to about 3 and then cut that spot about 3 db or maybe less. Just a guess.
