If you were stuck on a deserted island and could only bring one plug-in.. what would it be, and why?

bonus: what is the coolest plug-in you use?
 
UAD's Pultec plug. IMHO, the greatest plugin ever.
 
I guess a compression plug, if you can only use one thing:)
 
Bluetubes PEQ, my number 1 abused plug. Until I pick up a UAD1 that is. :rolleyes:
 
AC is soooo old school. The new rage in all the big studios is to run everything off of batteries. Mmmmm.... clean power for all of your DC hungry analogue gear.

32-band stacked multi-band compressor with gentle crossover slopes for a real smooth ride. It's got eq, stereo width, m/s, mix control for parallel compression, peak/envelope detector and other stuff. I'd also figure out a way to smuggle Elephant (mastering limiter) too. :cool:
 
lately it's been the waves rverb, though actualy an eq would be pretty damn important

If I am by myself? Any plug-in that would allow me to send messages to get the hell off the island. Unless, of course I was stuck there alone with Ginger, and I would not need any plug-ins. :D :D

Mary Ann is sooooooooooooo much hotter than Ginger.... :eek:
 
UAD 1 because the tracks won't come close to the sound people expect without an LA2A or 1176.

PMI Bosendorfer 290 because a plug in is lighter than a piano.

DFHS because then I don't need a drummer.

These three are extremely useful.
 
A plugin would be the very last thing I ever brought to a deserted island.

Traci Lords is my choice for company.
