Well, here is our 2nd song so far.....

the first "decent" recording we have accomplished is posted on the same site entitled---"No Smoking on the Bus"

This new song has no vocals yet, but I think we have made great strides in our recordings:)


Please give me some straight up , unadulterated feedback on this as it can only make us improve.

And hey if you think it ROCKS then that's fine too :cool:

Well, I would call this recording/mix "muddy." There is a lot of low and mid frequency energy with the guitar and bass fighting each other for space. I would cut the guitar frequency below 150Hz, or maybe even 250Hz. This will clean it up a bit. You might also consider double tracking the guitar and panning each one out of the center to clear up some space.

There is no high end on this recording at all. The lead guitar is just murky. Boost the treble a little to open it up.
