I've been thinking about building my own DAW and I have been doing research - and since I dont know much about computers it is very confusing. I came across a website that builds DAWs and released a book called "The PC DAW Book" - I'm thinking about getting it. Does anyone have it or know anything about it?

ask some questions here about building a PC for music, then decide if you still want to buy the 'book'.

"How to decide what kind of system to build
CPU differences
Motherboard differences
Who makes the fastest hard drives
Which components are the most critical
The truth about ATA vs. SCSI
Resources for wholesale component pricing
Resources for free system utilities
How to optimize the operating system
How to match the proper components for best results
And much more!! "

Woo! tell me more. Who said it, Socrates? Everyone writes a book these days. ;)

The truth about ATA vs. SCSI...man, I can't wait.

I bet the last 3 topics are covered in 4 pages.
