Dogman

Unkle Ticklefingers
Some noise....
This is a tune that Purge and I did. Blame him if you don't like it. It's always his fault. The genre would be, some stripped down guitar oriented noise, induced by massive amounts of alcohol.

Oh yeah, if you like it, blame me......

Thanks Purge. You're the man.

this is hilarious!!! totally atrocious :D
you guys should hang for this.....

if it wasn't for the vocals, you might think it a leftover black sabbath track....

....

Thanks for listening, madmush.

man, i'm sorry.... i should've kept my mouth shut....

see it this way, you did get a reaction from me ;)

EDIT: and don't mind bloody me, you have a rep power number equalling my amount of posts :D

For reasons beyond my comprehension, my cable modem is moving slower than a dial up, but as soon as it downloads, I'll let you know what I think.... ;)

OK, listening as I type....

Say, I recognize that riff! :D

OK, your singing has improved quite a bit... (where the hell is the bass?) If it's there, it needs to come up some...

That's all I can hear.... my monitors have been packed up and I'm back on pc speakers *shudder*....

Hey, Rokket. Thanks for the listen. Yeah, that's the tune I've been working on. Bass got buried a bit by the guitars, as it pretty much just follows it. I got tired of playing the tune, so threw it up. This is pretty dry, and unprocessed. It will probably stay this way, as I am really tired of it now, and have moved on to the next tune. We call this True Garage Rock. No real effort into making it sound very much better than it does live.

How's the arm doing? If you ever get the time to lay some bass to this, let me know and I can get you the files to mess with.
Thanks.

Okay now, it's well known that ANYTHING that says "DIE" more than 5 times is kewl, but Dogman and Purge are now officially my idols. After I pass out tonight, when I dream, I will dream of thanking the both of you in my liner notes... :D

Vox sound better Ed. Nice little solo Purge, must be nice to pull those out of your arse like you do!

My latest "creation" doesn't even have a chorus yet. It's 4.5 minutes of the same crap! Basically just testing out my new toys. I'm learning the lesson the hard way that an emulator "will never replace a speaker displacing air". I really NEED more space. I tried kicking the fam out, but they wouldn't leave. I even offered money...

At any rate, I have the vox "pattern" somewhat down, and just need another suitable riff to fill in the gap (God forbid I have a bridge), and I will call this one done, because I also am tired of playing it!

I'm off to drink more beer and play guitar... it's getting late, gotta get something done!

Thanks for listening, Cellar. I actually mic'd my amp for this one. First time for everything. Now, hurry up with the tune. I wanna hear it!!!!

Holy shit, the solo moved!!! :D (either that, or thanks to all that goddamn nyquil that dogman bribed me with, I played it in the wrong place to begin with!) hahahahahha...ROCK!!!

Had my listen..and for what it's worth, you dudes have earned a spanking!!!
Better vocals DOG..I still like my B-day one better, but I am partial..Like your solo PURGE! There is a Nyquil Ambience to the sound. :D

Don't be sorry, madmush. Whether you like it, or not, is just part of posting a song here. Your reaction is appreciated. Atrocious is a bit harsh, but if that's how you really felt about it, that's ok. I don't take this stuff too serious, and don't take criticism personally.
That being said, if you can tell me what you don't like, and maybe tell us some elements that you do, that would be more helpful.

And the rep power, doesn't mean anything, other than being around here. There are people with little rep power that know way more than I do about recording, so take rep power with a grain of salt. Now, give a review that has more words in it... :D

I'd say you played it in the wrong spot, but the damn song changed like 5 times in 2 days. It went from a Motorhead type, 2:30 song to whatever garage band thingy, but lengthened to 4:30.....Don't know how, just did. Thanks dude...

Thanks true. Don't know if I can stand a spanking right now, as this song just kicked my ass. Took way too long, and didn't turn out quite as expected, but I got tired of mixing it. I will try more later, but I have moved on to the next tune for now....

Good job guys. Nice heavy-slow thing.

By the end I was thinking that it would be totally rad if the vocals were like two octaves higher, like if Chris Cornell sang it back in the 'Louder than Love' days or something.

But where to get such a vocalist. . . no idea.

I think the drums should be louder, though. Especially in a song like this. Guitars definitely dominate this mix.
As far as the bass, it's really hard to mix in when it's doing the same riff as the guit. I haven't figured that one out as well, yet.

Keep it up!

OK OK :)

I do think it's a funny recording. It made me laugh. I didn't say that to offend you, i honestly sat here laughing & listening. Now, on second listen, yeah, that guitar solo, and the guitar sound overall, is quality stuff. Nothing wrong with the drum sound either. I don't think i hear a single crash cymbal on the whole song? Amateurish drumming... sounds like the drummer is trying playing along to the rest of the band (the other guy?), rather than leading the way. Sounds funny! And, man, the singing..... well i hear from the others that it has improved, so that's kewl. But, maybe you don't want to "improve", if you can make people laugh with the current standard? I mean, try to make a funny song, that's not easy! I guess this, to me, sounds like a great pisstake (does that mean the same in US and UK english?, as in, mocking).

Thanks for the commentary. I'm a guitarist, so guitars domminate what I do, and do tend to bury other stuff in the mix. Never heard the term pisstake, but it is probably appropriate for this song, and most stuff I've done. I listened to your stuff, and am impressed with your abilities. If you have any stuff you want to share, that might help this, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks, man. Much appreciated. If I could sound 10% like Cornell, I'd be amazing. I guess 1% will have to do... :D

I think I'm in love...or ready to die. I never thought a song could get me stoned. First time for everything. Classic riff, especially the last note :). Excuse me, I gotta get something to munch on, I'm starving.

Thanks, RAMI. I'll buy you some Doritos if you promise to share.... :D

Not that it matters, but I meant to say "classic solo"...even though the riff is really cool too. I was reffering to the solo, when I said "especially the last note".
