Thanks Bob,
I'm looking at some bigger cabs right now, not sure though, as I'm still using the home-made ISO cab with my amps.....The wife got laid off/lost her job, so it may not be a good idea for me to get a bigger/different cab at the moment.....have to wait & see what happens.....

All in all, the little Marshall does sound good, I may borrow a 4x12 this weekend, just to see what it'd do through a proper cab...but really, it's probably good enough with what I have......Yeah, I've got some major GAS for gear.....

Thanks again, off to work I go.....

Yeah the guitars sound great. Perfect for the style. See? You don't need to frankenfuck with a bunch of pods, sims, and all that shit. Just plug in and go.

well, you can probably dig up some extra cash!!

See what I did there? .... It's funny cause you're a miner!

ahhhhhh ......

Sorry 'bout the wifey job thing ..... trust me ..... over here in Lt. Bob-land we're quite familiar with lack of income. Hope it gets better for ya'.

fellas gather round me and ill tell the tale of a hot guitar player

he is my main man now

Thanks for the listen(s) & compliments guys, means a lot coming from you....Not much time yesterday for anything except work (through the week, that's the thing for me....I hate it, but it pays the bills & feeds us...), & with the 'lil woman home & her having some health issues (kidney stones...), again, haven't had time really to do anything music wise, except maybe listen to some stuff....

Good joke Bob, actually I do "dig" at work, that's actually my job, I run the 40-ton machine that cuts & loads the coal dude, so that's a good one!!!!

Proabably no tones for a day or two, gonna be kinda busy this week, but you never know, might squeeze a little recording in sometime before the weekend....

Plus, I've been "skunk hunting" the past few nights. We've been having a skunk problem here for a while, they're coming to eat our cats' food we leave on the deck, & it's getting to be a stinkin' pain (literally)....I've actually caught a couple in a small trap, then "disposed" of 'em later (got rid of the latest one pretty early this morning)...I hate to do this, but damn...

Thanks again for the listen(s) & comments guys....

alritey then ..... I DID get drunk and record last night ... :D .... wifey got home early and had a decent day and we'd been busy all weekend so last night was party like it's 1969 night so we consumed mass quantities until late ..... I didn't even get started putting down the drums until 'round 1am and was significantly drunk at that point. The only way to keep goin' was to keep drinkin' so ............. :D
And, true story .... .... by the time I got to the lead git it was around 3:30am and I actually kept dozin' off while playing it ...... I'd suddenly snap awake and realize I was still playing!
Like when you're nodding off at the wheel?
But this way the only danger is to ya'lls' ears! :laughings:

Anyways ..... it's sloppy as hell but I don't care ..... said I wuz gonna record so here it is ... man of my word and all that.

I set myself some rules when I started it ...... I used the PicoValve which I had messed around with the night before .... running thru an open back Emminence 10" 75watt , 16 0hm speaker with whatever mic I picked up aimed in the general direction of the speaker. (turned out to be an EV Cobalt 7)

I would use the PicoValve for everything including bass guitar, and would use the same settings for everything also.
The controls go to 9 and I had:
Gain ...... 2
Treble .... 3
Mids ......4
Bass ..... 9
Master ..... as wide open as it'd go ..... which was 9 :D

The only exceptions were that when recording bass I turned the bass down to around 7
And for the lead I turned the gain up to ... 3

hahahaha! .... holy crap that sucks!!!

:laughings:

Bass is kinda decent .... not really liking the lead tone at all .... the rhythm gits sound ok ....

I do think for 99 bucks it's pretty damned cool and for gigging I would use my pedalboard which would do the lead sound I need so it's gonna work well for what I wanted it for.
But maybe recording too ..... the 2 watt setting is really quiet although I did NOT use that setting in this recording.
It is very dark though, on the 2 watt setting. Not very dark on the 5 watt though.

Lol. Fuck yeah, 70s p0rno music! That is pretty sloppy, but fucking awesome nonetheless, and the tones are really good overall. The rhythms sound very good to me. Bass sounds fantastic. I agree the lead tone isn't all that great, but it's not bad. All together I'd say that amp can churn out some good stuff. Awesome to hear it. Thanks for posting up! :D

Thanks man!

I think part of the issue with the lead sound was my desire to use the same settings on everything.
I imagine if I sat and tweaked it specifically for a lead tone I could get it better than that ....... but by then it was gonna be what it was gonna be .........

And I really did keep falling asleep by then so it was kinda like, "Alrite ..... gotta get all the way thru this time ... ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz....... *snort* ... huh, wha? ..... ......... Ah, DAMN it!!!"

:laughings:

Lol. I can't say that's ever happened to me while recording. Yes, while doing pretty much everything else, but not while recording.

So how's the really dirty tones with that thing?
