Yeah- the weather channel or the TV guide channel. But seriously:
Nobody listening to these channels wants the clap. The clap has to go.
 
doc, you sound like an advertising campaign for safe sex.

big, this is a pretty good sound for a jam. Did you record everybody playing together? If so, how? Three people playing?
 
good recording...nice for PBS phone pledges too, but doc's right...lose the virtual vd...gibs :D
 
I'm not even sure if hear the clap.

My monitors must really suck.

I can hear something somewhat clap-like in the right speaker, but it seems mostly masked by the snare. Can't really hear it. But then my speakers are crap so don't pay too much attention to me.

I like how this mp3 sounds very spacious and open.
 
mrlip - variation in the case of your speakers: the crap has to go :)

Seriously, thanks much for the honest feedback ... it really helped me out.
I mixed a final version (with muted gtr and w/o the clap) and will post on idrive if/when I can get an account. I mixed the final mix to CD instead of direct into this crappy soundcard so here's hoping it will sound a little better being ripped instead.

Dobro:
This was recorded live ... Keyboard, Bass & Drums ... the rest was overdubs. Keyboard was direct, bass thru an amp in the same room as drums.

Nooooooooo! I like handclapping on tunes! The icon for this post proves it! Clap's crappy, but clapping's cool.
 
The clap didn't really bother me (in the song) at all. It's a great mix and fun song. It reminds me of this driving video game I used to play. Great work man.
 
Hey Big... I love jazzy stuff like this little jam of yours.
If you had a sax and a lead guitar with some nice tone, it would sound like a Spyro Gyra song. :)

Big- This song has a really nice feel to it and was alot of fun to listen to. Great work!
 
Dobro ... I thought the clapping was ok too if it was kept low in the mix ... but if it kills the ending for anybody ... I'd rather just get rid of it.

CMiller ... I would love to get some gigs doing video games! That would be a blast!

Buck62 ... thanks ... I'm still working on the guitar sound. I just got a new rig and have not fully adjusted to it yet. Actually thinking about returning this amp ... it's just not doin it for me. :(

Dragonworks ... heheh I'll take that as a compliment even though you want to cut my hands off! I actually had a nightmare the other night! Thanks alot! ;)

Lambo - thanks much for the compliment. It's nice to be able to get some of these tunes out of the basement and get some feedback on them. It inspires me to write more and that's a good thing, I think.
