when i want to sing
the cell phone ring
kills my mellow buzz
when i want to cry
i look at the sky
and i smile
when i want to kiss
i think of a diss
and we both go home in tears
when i try to dance
i lose all my pants
and the floor gets really clean
when the times are tough
i get on my rough
and the hills go smooth as silk
when the moneys gone
and so is the farm
i hitch my way to the city
when the day is done
i sit on my bum
and reflect on the afternoon
i pick it up
in tomorrow
even if i have to borrow
i text to dead
unknowing
the cell phone ring
kills my mellow buzz
when i want to cry
i look at the sky
and i smile
when i want to kiss
i think of a diss
and we both go home in tears
when i try to dance
i lose all my pants
and the floor gets really clean
when the times are tough
i get on my rough
and the hills go smooth as silk
when the moneys gone
and so is the farm
i hitch my way to the city
when the day is done
i sit on my bum
and reflect on the afternoon
i pick it up
in tomorrow
even if i have to borrow
i text to dead
unknowing
