That sucked, just like all your other offerings. :D

Literally my only nit is that the fade seemed a bit abrupt in light of the fact that it's a "singalong" kind of ending.

I guarantee you spent more time on that recording than the Kinks ever spent on an entire album. Awesome.
Thanks bud. I'm still gonna tweak the ending a little. I'm thinking I may start the fade on the chorus sooner and let the little solo ride out a little more pronounced.

Thats a really cool version. I love this song anyways...and pretty much all of Ray Davies work. Really punchy version of this. The guitars sound great, What is your set up?

Thanks man. My setup is pretty basic. I used my SG for all the electric guitars on this one. I use a Digitech RP300a processor that has different popular amp and cab sims in it. I don't remember exactly, but I think I used the Fender Hot-Rod Deville setting with no cab and ran it into a 75w practice combo on the clean channel. I then stick my AT2020 condenser in front of it and let er rip.

Sounds hot. That arpeggiated elec gtr sounds great at :30, as does the ending lead. Main and BG vox compiment each other. Actually it sounds like two different singers.

Thanks a lot man. :)

solid. It got the stamp of approval from my wife, which may not sound like much, but she's never approved of anything I've ever recorded, so you apparently get to sleep with her now. Congrats.

Also, you're a drummer who plays guitar better than I do, and that totally pisses me off, so I hope you remember that when you're sleeping with my wife.

Woohoo! Tell her thanks. And tell her I like pancakes and omelettes in the mornings. ;)

Guitar was actually my first instrument. I think I'm a better guitarist than drummer, but strangely enough, I've only played drums in serious bands. I've never played guitar in a real band. I guess everyone just needs drummers.
