BTW, the singing reminds me of Zappa sometimes...in the sort of "thin" sounding parts...

Remainds me of Bill Nelson ( BEBOP DELUXE - anyone?), - his more recent stuff. Techo sound with a solid rock/R 'n B base.

very well done!

this shit is the shit

hey b sabbath you rule!
i love this tune its heavy it has a strange trip out vibe .....smoke another one!

Gentlemen,

Thanks for taking the time. I cant believe this many did. I suprisingly havent gotten "flamed" about the singing yet. I thought for sure I'd get negative responses about the vocals beacuse I am most insecure about my singing. I got responses from people who I have come to respect after hearing what they do. Thanks for wasting some of your valuable time. It seems a lot of things are a matter of preference but things like the bass drum panning, and lack of punch on the drums are all things I will pay closer attention to on the next failure. Thanks again everyone.

Sittin Idol,- yeah thats me playing everything, so if theres something that sucks, there's no one else to blame on that one.

sabbathgod- thanks, I will. ;)

Theres some good tunes around here, and I'm sure not talking about mine......

peace.

I've never heard of him but I'll check it out. Never heard a "Techno" comment before.

YEAH!!!!

VERY cool vibe!!!

The production elements are VERY happening...

What an incredible mixture of hard rock elements and some hints of Trent's production concepts, with some fantastic harmonic moves within the songwriting...

The mix of live drums and loops was AWESOME...

While I totally dug the vocal placement in the mix, I dry them out and bring slighty forward, but even then, it doesn't matter...

I LOVE the acoustic guitar breakdown stuff, in this context it's really fresh...

And just dropping off the cliff with the quirky keyboard parts is just exceptional...

I loved the crazy little distorted phasy keyboard section...

I listened to it TWICE on lo-fi...but I will be downloading it...

Really...a GREAT vibe...

Since I am more the kinder, gentler type, the lyrics could have had more attitude than just violent references...those kinds of emotions can be described with an artistic hint, rather than coming out and saying: "I want to kill you", I would opt for: "The air you breathe, I would gladly take away" or something...

But, I still would listen to it, because it is just EXCELLENT, plain and simple...

I'll be listening to more...

You ROCK!!!

Peace,

Scott Jones

Scott,

Thanks for wasting some time. I just listened to your tune and posted in the appropriate thread. Your absolutely right about the lyrics. I'm not really a violent person at all. It seems music is like therapy for me and I often get a bit carried away. This song is kind of "tongue and cheek" and there is an element of humor that I guess gets lost in the translation. That "distorted phasy keyboard section" you mentioned was actually guitar. Thanks for checking it out and inputting. Given the tone of your music, I appreciate that you could still offer an intelligent, unbiased opinion. Your music is quite good, and your comments were appreciated.

By the way, those lyrics you purposed, "the air you breathe, I would gladly take away,"......... I might have to use those on my next song. ;) Thanks again Scott, and anyone else who burnt up the time.

peace.

Certainly not a waste of time...

Yo B.

I listened to the song three times, and certainly, it was NOT a waste of time...

No need to explain away your intent behind the lyrics...

It was the way YOU felt at the time...which is fine...

I just look for less obvious ways of saying things...but anyway...

From my perspective, it pains me when folks think that Christians hide their heads in the sand and refrain from listening to certain types of music...and as long as it's EXCELLENT, I will always listen...Ned Flanders I'm NOT...

I'm really glad I heard your music, I learned alot...

Continue your excellent work...!!!!

I also appreciate your time in listening to my music...

Peace,

Scott

Thanks for the kind words Ned! ;)

I doubt there's anything you could learn from me, but maybe the other way around.

Thanks again bro!
