I just ordered a pair on-line from Academy Of Sound. Total including carriage was £70.

£70 for two mics. Sheesh!

Just be prepared to return them, if need be. The quality varies a lot, but good ones can be useful mics. Best of luck.-Richie

I thought they would be cheaper on your side of the pond.

That comes to a little over $110. I got mine for $70 for the pair local.

Man, you Americanos get all the breaks. That was the cheapest I could find them (the only other place that was selling ECM8000s was asking £39 each)

Well, if I do need to return them, Richard, there's a branch of the chain I bought them from about fifteen minutes by foot away! Hopefully I won't have to, cause I know for a fact they don't stock the things.

I'm getting some good drum recording using them as overheads. I didn't like them too well on acoustic guitar because of the noise factor. But, that doesn't apply as much with drum overheads. They will reproduce a source very exactly. The source needs to be LOUD. You will find them useful if you use them right.
