The dithering types in Cubase VST 5.1

When I make a mixdown stereo track I have alwys just exported the audio. However, I am aware that using dithering is better and I noticed that in the 'Master Mixer' screen there is an option to set dithering 'on' and various types of dithering etc

Can someone explain the various dithering types to me please?
